Prep was a breeze. Although you need a bit more than one hour from start to finish, but most of the time are inactive, such as soaking the mushroom for 30 minutes and simmering the dish for 30 minutes.
Love the earthy flavor of the shiitake mushroom, which infused into the braise sauce. The chicken was tender. The mushrooms absorbed in more flavor than the chicken though.
I spooned the chicken, mushroom and braise sauce over a bowl of rice. That was a very satisfying lunch.
